Vancouver Screening- North American Premiere!
The North American Premiere for Travel Queeries was at the Vancouver Queer Film Festival this August and had a very successful q&a with co-producer Margaritte Knezek.
One audience member, Hannah, wrote to us stating:

Denmark Queer Festivals!!!!
Queer Festival Copenhagen (July 20-26) and Queer9000 in Aalborg, Denmark (August 11-15) where both wonderful screenings! Copenhagen was quite a large festival again this year and the film had two screenings, both with great q&a sessions.

Queeruption Barcelona Trail- how to give solidarity
Here is a copy of the e-mail I just received about the current status on this case. Travel Queeries started at Queeruption Barcelona and it was my first really connection made with the radical queer scene in Europe. However unfortunate the circumstances for these arrests, the reality is that people from the queer community are asking for our support and I strongly believe it is important to step up at this time and show solidarity. I am sending an official letter to them for their trial and I would highly encourage you to do the same.

TQ International Premiere in London!
Thanks so much for everyone's support! The final cut of the film has premiered and it's now being booked and screening internationally. Here are some photos from the festivals Opening Night and Travel Queeries screenings.

International Premiere!
Travel Queeries will be having it's International Premiere in March/April at the London Lesbian and Gay Film Festival, with filmmakers in attendance as well as a panel of interviewees from the film!

Next Steps in Editing
After the focus group screenings on Seattle and London, we now have gained a great gal named Brooke to help with editing and will also be working with Ryan (artistic director) on getting the titles and such done... still aiming for a November deadline- keep your fingers crossed.
We still do need some help with translations if folks are at all interested (italian to english for editing) and still looking for someone who might want to translate the film into japanese, etc.

Fall Focus Group Screening: Seattle, London, Berlin & Brisbane
We are doing a 'tour' of focus group screenings to get essential feedback about where the film is going and what things could look different/are missing. Here is a list of all the focus group screenings coming up:
- Seattle- Aug. 16th @ The Northwest Film Forum, 5pm
- London- Aug. 24th @ Gasworks, 3pm
*Was very successful, great feedback (screened Eastern Europe events sequence)
